Refusing to carry trend-following imposters

It’s been awhile since we’ve gotten in touch, and there’s a reason. The so-called “natural” pet food market has exploded, and everyone seems to be joining the fray. But are all of these new offerings really what they seem?

For over a year, we've redoubled our efforts to scrutinize the foods that companies want us to sell, as well as the foods we already carry.

Bottom line: we’re significantly raising our standards (already the highest of any store...anywhere), and at the same time finding new options that meet them. You’ll find more on these great new foods and our efforts to protect your pets in the coming weeks.

Amazing new foods as well

Two of those new foods have already arrived: Farmina, and new baked dry kibble from Stella & Chewy’s. Orijen/Acana have also introduced incredible new formulas made in their all new USA kitchen. They’ve even tweaked the formulas so they could source ingredients from the new local area in Kentucky--just as they’ve always done.

Perhaps even more important are the foods we don’t carry. We won’t pick on them by name in this article, but suffice to say they’re the products that other stores and websites try to use as bolt-on natural pet food offerings.

We do this for a living, and we know what foods are worthy of you and your pet’s trust.

As always, thank you so much for your love and support of our mission.
