It's never fun reporting news like this, but our distributor for Mulligan Stew has decided to stop carrying it in their warehouse. The product has been in short supply for some time while the company works through production and financial issues.
While they have apparently solved their production issues, unfortunately, the replenished stock was to come with a significant price increase. Our distributor believed the increase would simply be too much for customers to bear.
While the decision was not mine to make, I tend to agree. As I discussed in last month's newsletter, price increases are likely to become the rule rather than the exception in the next few years, but this increase was simply too much, too fast.
We sincerely apologize to anyone who supported the product, as we had hoped (and expected) to provide this great food to you for years to come. Rest assured, we'll do our very best to find an even better product to replace it. It's a tall order, because we really liked what this company had come up with, but I'm confident we'll succeed.
