Tanya Johnson, Owner and Head Trainer of Muttley Manners, has always had a connection with animals. At a young age, Tanya developed an interest in training while working with her own dogs and horses. She now brings her passion and knowledge to Joey’s, where she dedicates herself to helping people and their
dogs live happier, healthier lives together.
Your dog deserves professional quality training, but because the State of Michigan does not require trainers to be certified, investing in training can be a risky venture. Muttley Manners has you covered.
Tanya earned her Master Trainer’s Certification from National K-9 in Columbus, Ohio, and her Remote Collar Specialist Certification from world-renowned trainer Robin MacFarlane at That’s My Dog! E-Cademy in Dubuque, Iowa. She is a member of both the International Association of Canine Professionals, and the
Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers. Her strong belief in continuing education has taken her around the country attending seminars, workshops, and conferences to learn and work with some of the top trainers in the industry.
Tanya’s training methods are based on canine psychology; they're fun, positive, and most of all, easy to maintain. She has developed a well-earned reputation for her unwaveringly calm state, patience, and assertive leadership, and—most importantly—her ability to clearly explain and demonstrate her methods and techniques for her students.
Our mission is to provide the very best in dog training, obedience, psychology and rehabilitation services. We look forward to bringing balance, peace, and happiness to human / dog relationships everywhere. Begin the journey toward pack leadership with Muttley Manners today.
